Project Description
The J74 VW Transporter Underbody 8Y Line was delivered as a turnkey project for Ford Otosan Yeniköy Plant for the completion welding operations of the vehicle underbody assembly.
The line is based on Siemens S7-1500 PLC architecture and integrates 32 KUKA and ABB industrial robots dedicated to resistance spot welding processes. Operating at a 115-second cycle time, the system completes the missing weld points from the 8X line to ensure full structural integrity of the body assembly.
The project was completed within 1.5 years in compliance with PL-d safety standards, including 24/7 production support during stabilization.
