Project Description
The FO V710 8F-8E Rear End Welding Line was delivered as a turnkey project for Ford Otosan
for the automated welding of the vehicle rear chassis.
The system is based on Siemens S7-1500 series PLC architecture and integrates 52 KUKA
industrial robots for resistance spot welding and robotic part transfer between stations.
The line operates at a 75-second cycle time and was digitally validated using Siemens
Process Simulate prior to commissioning.
The project scope included mechanical manufacturing, electrical design with EPLAN,
pneumatic design using FESTO FluidDraw, PLC software, robot programming, installation,
commissioning, and production ramp-up. The project was completed within 1.5 years in
compliance with PL-d safety standards, with 24/7 support during stabilization.
